Product Description
IPD is pleased to announce rebuild kits for M66 manual transmissions. Featuring bearings from SKF and seals from SKF and Corteco, this kit is a great "while you're in there" companion for upgrading to a limited slip differential, replacing a busted shift fork, or even just a teardown/rebuild service if you've got funny noises or ferrous (bearing) metal shavings in your gear oil.
This kit includes bearings for all gearsets, as well as for the differential. It includes the driver's side axle seal and the input shaft seal; if you need the passenger side angle gear collar seal, o-ring, or inner axle seal, see Recommended Products below for those seals or for the Angle Gear Collar Service Kit, which includes all of these seals with a new angle gear collar.
Additional Technical Information
We've labeled the gearsets, the bearings, and the bearing cups in the kit per the images below; use these to match bearings to their correct positions.
The shim included in this kit goes under bearing cup 3A (input shaft end bearing), and should be added to any existing shims that are already there if you're replacing this bearing.
The Torx T40 bearing retaining bolts on gearsets 1 and 4 are reverse threaded.
