IPD enthusiasts will appreciate the quality of this magnetic oil drain plug. Everyone loves parts made from T6061 billet aluminum. We sourced a high-quality rare earth magnet made from the strongest magnetic material: corrosion resistant, high-temperature neodymium. This will give you confidence that your drain plug doesn’t just look cool, but it’s working hard preventing abrasive particles from re-circulating through your oil pump and back into the pressurized system of your engine.

Even though everyone won’t be able to see this trick part on the underside of your Volvo, you’ll know it’s there every-time you service your Volvo’s engine oil. Additional Technical Information

Due to the material being aluminum and softer than regular steel, most common hand tools and box wrenches can potentially mark or scratch the anodizing on this part. To minimize scratching, use the open end of a 22mm wrench to give you the best contact against the drain plug.

We recommend using a non-marring 22mm 6-point socket (see Recommended Products below) or an 8 AN aluminum wrench to remove the drain plug; think of it as having your own specialty tool kit specifically for changing oil on your Volvo!

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THIS OIL DRAIN PLUG WHEN INSTALLING. IPD INCLUDES AN OEM CRUSH WASHER WITH EVERY OIL DRAIN PLUG, SNUG AND HAND TIGHT WILL DO THE TRICK!
