These pumps originally came in two styles. They are both Bosch pumps but the pump outer diameter and housing configuration is different.
We highly recommend the full replacement pump with housing because it is an exact fit for your Volvo and it's an OE quality (Bosch) pump.
When replacing your pump with a OE Bosch insert, you will need to remove your pump plastic housing and visually verify which style is installed inside. There is no way to know which original style pump is in your Volvo other than a visual inspection. This means your car will be down while the new pump is in transit to you. ipd will accept uninstalled pumps as returns but will not credit shipping charges if you order the wrong unit.
