Potential Product Fitment Issues
The P1 (S40, V50, C30, C70) parking brake cable has two parts: the upper cable with the adjustment nut at the handbrake lever, and the lower cable in the transmission tunnel under the car that goes to both rear calipers.
Volvo updated the upper cable and the handbrake lever early in to P1 production, so if your car fits in to one of these listed chassis breaks, you must also replace the upper cable with part number 32265475. See Recommended Parts below for the revised lever and upper cable.
- S40, up to chassis number 190211
- V50, up to chassis number 194444
Additionally, if you have a 2005 S40 or V50, you must replace the upper cable and the handbrake lever itself with part number 30778883.
