Upstream Oxygen Sensor - P1 S40 V50
Walker Products 35064007 - 142262
Product Description
Modern gas-engined cars typically have at least two oxygen sensors: an upstream sensor before the catalytic converter that measures the ratio of air to fuel the engine is burning, and a downstream sensor after the catalytic converter that measures how well the cat itself is turning harmful exhaust gases like CO into CO2 and NOx into N2 and O2.
So, when you get OBD2 error codes for upstream or downstream sensors, make sure you're replacing the right sensor: this upstream AFR sensor by Walker Products is appropriate for addressing upstream (bank 1 sensor 1) codes.
Product Fitment Notes & Potential Issues
This sensor only fits certain engine codes, certain chassis numbers, and certain emissions codes.
The emissions variant for P1s like the S40 and V50 is recorded in the VIN at the 8th position. For example, YV1MJ682952080735 has emissions code 2. Please check this code, your car's engine code (a sticker on your timing belt cover) and your car's chassis number (the last six digits of your VIN) before ordering.
If you need help figuring out your engine code, emissions code, or chassis number, please contact IPD with your car's VIN and we can look those up for you.
