Product Description

P1- and P3-chassis Volvos use a "clevis" to hold the front struts in to the wheel hub/knuckle: the strut drops in to a C-shaped hole in the knuckle, an alignment tab on the strut keeps it lined up with a slot in the hole, and a bolt tightens the slot down to clamp the bottom of the strut in place.

If you're replacing your struts or springs, this tool goes in to the slot to lever it apart. Made of sturdy tool steel and with a 3/8in drive socket for leverage, simply put it in the slot, turn it 90 degrees to spread the slot apart, and lift the strut out.

Additional Keywords: KNUCKLE HUB SHOCK ABSORBER

Additional Technical Information

Remember to spray the bottom of the strut down with your penetrating oil of choice before getting to work!
