Product Description

Parking brakes on P80s and P2s use the inside of the rear brake disc as a brake drum. When you pull the handbrake, the parking brake shoes are pressed against the inside of the brake disc.

When installing new parking brake shoes, this adjuster link is used to snug the new shoes up to the inside of the disc. After this initial adjustment, any remaining play in the parking brake should be fine-tuned with the parking brake cable adjustment screw inside the car.

This adjuster also acts as a pivot point around which the shoes move when the handbrake is pulled; in later P2s this adjuster is replaced with a simple stamped metal link, but the adjuster can be added back in to restore some adjustability.
