"The right tool for the job" is becoming more and more critical with modern cars, which increasingly feature application-specific component designs to improve performance. Wheel bearings on modern Volvos, for example, are a press-in design, reducing weight by several pounds compared to bolt-on wheel bearings with their extra flange and bolts. This improves ride and handling by reducing critical unsprung weight, but means press tools of the correct size are needed when servicing the bearing.
This P1 platform specific tool kit serves this specific purpose. It includes appropriately sized tools to press the old bearing out of your S40, V50, C30, or C70's wheel hub, and press in a new one. All the components are made of tough, sturdy tool steel, and come packed in a metal carrying case. Grease the threads before using, and be careful, it's heavy!
