Holds gas charged lift supports, or struts, found on hoods, tailgates, hatch backs and trunks.
The clamp securely holds weak lift supports in the extended position. This allows access to engine compartment or rear luggage area. The aluminum body and brass threads prevent damage to the lift support shaft.
Directions:
1. Open hood, tailgatre, hatchback or trunk to extend the gas strut
2. Place clamp over steel shaft or lift support and position next to body of lift support
3. Tighten knob until secure
4. When service is completed, remove clamp before closing
