P2 Exhaust Upgrades S60/ V70/ XC70
For the Volvo P2 models, the exhaust that we offer is unique compared to what our competitors offer! IPD Volvo offers an oval tube exhaust for the S60R/ V70R. The oval tubing is made to give better ground clearance, especially when compared to the stock exhaust and clearing of the rear cradle in the AWD chassis. IPD’s research and development team spent a year in development and testing our revolutionary stainless steel oval tube sport exhaust system. It's the first of its kind to address concerns with other available sport exhaust systems. Part number 120056 Stainless Steel Oval Tube Exhaust for the all wheel drive S60R, V70R 2004 to 2007 and 125030 Stainless Steel Oval Tube Exhaust for model ranges S60 (all models), S80 Turbo, V70 (all models) and XC70 (all models) ranging between 2001 to 2009 depending on the model of Volvo.
IPD's oval tubing exhaust concept comes straight out of NASCAR, where the design is used to provide maximum ground clearance and reduced wind drag. We went to great lengths to develop a system featuring telescoping slip joints in key areas to allow fitment on both the S60R and the V70R. This helped reduce cost as well as making resale of the systems in the future much more attractive.
The oval tubing used in the IPD Volvo exhaust system has an equivalent cross section of 3-1/8" diameter round tubing that offers excellent flow characteristics and the compact stainless rear muffler uses long life rock wool for an aggressive tone. The sport exhaust is made with T304 Stainless Steel, for durability and longevity. The sound is aggressive under load and heavy throttle, but not obnoxious in the cabin when cruising. Expect performance gains between 14-16 brake horsepower, results do vary on additional modifications, tune and general location do to atmospheric pressure.
With these cat back exhaust systems we have upgraded performance downpipes, part number 113105 for the all wheel drive S60R, V70R in the 2004-2007 model range as well as part number 121438 for the front wheel drive S60 and V70 models. These performance downpipes are made with stainless steel, high flow metal catalytic converters and they incorporate the correct fire ring flange connection to the turbocharger. The downpipe creates an exhaust tone that is slightly throatier than stock, but not really louder.

IPD Performance Downpipes utilize a ceramic 3-way catalytic converter and an integrated flex-joint that helps to eliminate stress cracking. The 3” mandrel bent stainless steel is used from inlet to outlet for highest flow capacity and long life. Oxygen sensor ports are retained as well as factory mounting points and connections. Our pipes also include attachment points for the heat shield, anIPD brand exclusive design. Also, included in the kit are new turbo flange and catalyst gaskets to make install easy. Our down pipe is compatible with the stock exhaust as well as most aftermarket systems.
