- Second generation S40
- Sold in the USA from mid-2004 through 2012 model year
- 4 door sedan based on the Volvo P1 platform
- USA models have inline 5 cylinder gasoline engines with or without a turbo
- USA models were available with a variety of FWD, AWD, manual & automatic transmissions
