If you are having problems with a rapidly flashing turn signal flasher, the most common cause is a burnt out bulb or corroded wire connection. Check and clean the bulb socket, if the problem persists, then it is most likely a corroded or broken ground wire. While we're on the subject of checking for bulb function, here's a handy little tip for checking brake light function by your self. Cut an old broom handle or other suitable scrap into an 18" length that can be used as a wedge between the seat cushion and brake pedal to hold the brake lights on while you check function or make repairs.
Adjust seat as necessary for brake light activation.
