Product Description
A broken speedo cable puts you at risk in the eyes of the law. The common failures to look out for are a noise that increases with speed and may go away when warmed up or a speedo needle that jumps around at various speeds. This is caused by cable bind inside the sheath of the cable. Try lubing the cable but if this does not work, replace it with one of our replacement cables. Replace the seal on the end of the cable at the trans drive to prevent leaking.
Potential Product Fitment Issues
If replacing the cable on a model originally equipped with an automatic or non-overdrive manual transmission note this cable will be longer than the original.
From the factory there were several different speedometer cables of slightly different lengths used. They have since been consolidated and superceded into a single part number of the longest cable.
