Modern Volvos, particularly P2s like the XC70, have the flex of rubber bushings like this one engineered in to overall suspension movement and geometry characteristics. This gives them great alignment characteristics while still maintaining good ride quality, particularly in fighting things like squat/dive...but it can also make for sloppy handling when the rubber in the bushings starts to break down.
Suspension specialist Meyle has come to the rescue with bushings like these. These bushings are the rearward, vertically-mounted ones pressed in to the front control arms with a bolt passing through the center, and a pair of them will get your XC70 off the rack and back on the road.
