Description
Redstuff is an Aramid fiber Ceramic particle enhanced premium brake material. EBC does NOT use Ceramic fibers in any of their pads. Red is copper-free for environmental legislation, also free of sulphides or lead and a low dust material, and fully ECE R 90 brake safety tested and approved.
There is always some dust from brakes as they wear but the major advantage of the EBC range is zero use of steel fiber in their pads and instead use less aggressive aramid fibers such as Twaron® and Kevlar® which are easy to wash off wheels and do not etch into wheel lacquers or alloy.
EBC Redstuff is also a long-wearing pad and as such takes approx 300 miles to fully bed down and show its full performance. To assist the bed-in, however, all EBC pads are surface coated with their Brake-in ™ pad brake in accelerator compound.
Potential Product Fitment Issues
For cars with 316mm or 336mm front discs. Volvo refers to these cars as having either the 16.5" or 17.5" wheel brake package, meaning wheels of that size are needed to clear the front brakes. Please measure your brake discs before ordering.
