Product "Available" Explanation

Available means the item is readily available from one or more supplier warehouses and should be available to ship within a timly manner (unless otherwise noted on the product listing.)

Why do we have the confusing “Available” listing instead of saying something more descriptive? It all comes down to how Google handles product listings. Google only has two product status options available for us to use. According to Google, "In Stock" means you can fill the order in a "timely manner" while "Out of Stock" means that the item is NOT available at all. To us, this doesn't really make much sense since current stock level has very little to do with availability.

We’ve tried being honest about stock levels and availability but Google has repeatedly penalized us for it so we are forced to state something far less helpful. All ecommerce companies need to play the game according to Google's rules.

The truth is, like all other auto parts companies, we list more products than we stock in our own warehouse. We take advantage of our supplier's warehouse stock. It just doesn’t make financial sense to stock items we would only sell a few times a year but we'll get them for you if you want them. We generally don’t list things we can’t readily source, however we do list some hard to find items that may take a while to get from overseas suppliers.

Products from major brand names like Volvo Genuine, Bosch, Mahle, Aisin, etc. are almost always in stock in the manufacturer’s domestic warehouse. These suppliers have good fill rates, but if they don't have an item, we can may be able to source it from an alternate source. We are at the most 10 days away from all those warehouses, usually much less. Does that mean we will always have your product available within that window? Honestly, no. There are many factors that can delay things by a few days but we’ll do everything we can to fulfill your order in a timely manner.
