Volvo P1 C30, C70, S40 & V50 models can be equipped with two different size batteries. Either one will physically fit in the battery box but the hold down bracket and the positive battery cable terminal are different. The shorter battery also has a spacer snapped in to the battery box to help keep it in place.
We recommend that if your Volvo has the bigger battery, that you install the same size battery. The cars with push button start and premium sound systems typically have the bigger battery from the factory.
If you are trying to install a different size battery than your car had originally. then you will need additional parts to make it fit. We are offering these mounting kits to make the job easy.
The longer battery uses a shorter positive battery terminal (Volvo calls it a "shoe") and the shorter battery uses a longer one.
