The hard water pipes that fit to the water pump and wrap around the back of the engines on B230 models are a common problem for leakages. The problem lies in the fact that the mild steel pipes have a tendency to rot out - especially where they fit to the back of the water pump. We've sold replacement water pipes for this application for years to address this but customers that live in harsher climates may end back up in the same situation in a few years time. To combat this, STS Machining right here in Oregon has designed a replacement water pipe for these models made from stainless steel to make it the last water pipe your Volvo will ever need!
