Keep the oil inside the engine where it belongs. A leak not quickly repaired can lead to fire hazards when it contacts hot exhaust parts. Oil will also shorten the life of an alternator, electrical wiring and any rubber parts.
Used on both the cam and layshaft on various red engined Volvo models.
