Description
The ignition system is one of the most important factors in the economy and performance of your Volvo engine. Sometimes degradation occurs slowly over years of use ultimately causing a poor running engine.
Side mount distributor only.
These Bougicord wires technically fit all 240 models with 4 cylinder engines and all 940 models with REX/Regina ignition systems. The included coil wire though is for models with the ignition coil mounted on the left (USA driver side) hand side of the engine bay. If your 240 has a right (USA passenger side) side mounted coil the included coil wires will not work.
Potential Product Fitment Issues
This kit contains spark plug wires that have rubber boots and use the spark plugs with the single click top end. Many models of this age were originally equipped with metal boots and spark plugs that have the threaded top end for the "ratchet" or "zip" install. The metal boot version is no longer regularly available.
If you are installing these wires on a car that has metal boots currently, you will probably need to install a new set of spark plugs with the single click tops as well.
