I‘m a definitely a fan of cars and was a huge fan of Volkswagens for a long time. About six years ago I drove my brother in-laws 1998 V70 GLT he just purchased. At the time I was driving a Honda Accord, a nice car but boring and it didn't satiate my need for the drivers experience. After driving the V70 wagon I instantly began working on my wife saying the Accord was getting old and we (meaning "I") needed a newer car. After about 6 months, my steering rack on the Accord failed and that was the excuse I needed to search for a Volvo.

I found a low mileage 2000 S70 GLT that was in fantastic shape. After doing some research about Volvos on the web I came across IPD. I was struck by the number of aftermarket products available and how many people were into "upgrading" them. Soon after I was tweaking my S70, lowering springs, ecu tune, TCV, down pipe and cat back exhaust and so on. Then my brother in-law informed me that he was upgrading his V70 wagon and asked if I wanted it. He didn't have to ask me twice. My only question was, "what are you replacing it with?" The answer was a 2006 V70R. When I drove his car I was bitten once again. The search began for a S60R. After about 8 months of convincing my wife again I finally came across a 2006 S60R GT that needed a bit of work but was affordable so I jumped on it. Needless to say I have become somewhat of a Volvo freak. We recently bought an XC90 so my wife could have a Volvo she could drive. The first thing I did when I got it was flush the transmission fluid using the kit I bought from you guys.

I've moved on from VW to Volvo and never looked back. So far I have tried to do all repairs and service myself on my three Volvo's. Occasionally, I have to bring in a car to the shop either when I lack the expertise or just don't have the time. Definitely having IPD as a resource has been a bonus. Tons of goodies, and information have saved me a lot of time and effort. My twelve old son now says he has dibs on my S60R for his first car. I told him only if I get something better, than he can "buy" it from me.
