These lights are an absolute must for anyone who owns an older Volvo 240. They are 2-1/2 times brighter than the original sealed beam headlights. They are also just a little brighter than most halogens on new cars. The light they project with the newer PIAA Intense White H4's and the Xtreme White Plus H1's is excellent. I was afraid the color would have a bluish tint but they are indeed white and VERY bright. I did the install myself and it was easy enough for anyone to do. One precaution to buyers; use dielectric grease on the connections and make sure the rubber cover on the back of each bulb is snug to the housing. They take a little stretching to get on properly and now I hope to pass inspection without them noticing. ;)
