En Fuego
My first experience with Volvos was back when I was just sixteen years old. My good friend Christopher Delano had an old 1981 242 turbo. The first time I drove it I knew that my next vehicle purchase had to be something turbocharged! I didnt have much money at the time but it turned out Chris was looking at buying a Saab 9000. I pulled all my money together and ended up buying the Brick for an even $1500.00. On the way home from the picking up the car I was getting into throttle a bit and the engine began cutting out. I eased off and then went into it again.....same result. For some reason I glanced down at the instrument cluster and wouldnt you know it, he left me with no gas! Having just spent my last penny on the purchase of the car I was lucky enough to find my good friend (I use the term loosley at point in the story) had left the ashtray full of quarters. Needless to say I gave him a hard time at school the next few weeks. Anyway over the last 12 years we have worked on many projects together and he has brought me a long way in the Volvo universe.
This is my current work in progress, I call him En Fuego. It is a 1981 245GLT that originally was a non-turbo. I have since solved that small problem with the help Chris and Lucky. En Fuego now has a Garrett T3 turbo, full TME turbo exhaust, IPD performance wires, IPD turbo cam and adjustable timing gear. I also just tossed out my entire K-Jet system and converted to electronic injection using a Perfect Power 6 and 850R injectors.

Some new additions to the front end are pictured below. I have converted to a "Flat Hood" and E-codes. I also added an 850 front bumper to give it a slightly more modern look. The rear 850 bumper, side skirts and paint will be next on the list.

I do happen to have other hobbies besides Volvos. Here is something that Chris and I like to do on the weekends.

Here is the new bike and the 50.
