Waterwetter Supercoolant by RedLine WaterWetter is a unique wetting agent for cooling systems. It reduces coolant temperatures by as much as 30ºF. This liquid product can be used to provide rust and corrosion protection in plain water for racing engines, which provides much better heat transfer properties than glycol-based antifreeze. Or it can be added to new or used antifreeze to improve the heat transfer of ethylene and propylene glycol systems. Designed for modern aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze systems. Compatible with all antifreezes, including the latest long-life variations. Does not alter the freezing point of water, so at least a 20% anti-freeze solution should be used. One bottle of Redline Water Wetter is enough to treat the cooling system of one Volvo.

Air Conditioning Compressor Bypass Kit On 1978 to 1984 240 models with air conditioning, the power steering pump is driven off of the air conditioning compressor. As it can cost $600 to $800 to repair a non-functioning system and convert it to the new R-134 coolant, many owners have opted to do without AC. If the compressor clutch fails, it can be very expensive to repair just to regain the use of the power steering. Our bypass kit consists of a machined aluminum spacer that relocates the power steering pulley so that it can accept a belt directly from the front of the crank shaft. Spacer fits between pump and P/S pulley so that the pulley aligns with the front groove on the crank pulley. A new, longer belt and longer pulley bolts are included. Belt adjustment is the same as with the original routing. An easy-to-install solution to a common problem. |
Temperature Gauge Bypass Kit 1986-93 models are equipped with circuitry that is designed to keep the coolant temp gauge needle positioned in the normal zone (9:00 position) even if the engine is running a bit hot. The idea is to prevent minor variations in coolant temp from causing worry for the driver. As these cars age, a common problem is the failure of the circuit board and connectors resulting in erratic readings or no reading at all. Our simple bypass harness kit reverts the function back to the earlier trouble-free design. Bypass kit includes step-by-step installation guide.

Coolant Temperature Gauge Compensator Board If you’d rather replace the faulty compensation board to retain the compensated feature, we also offer that. No instructions are included with the compensator board, but installation is detailed in the Bentley 240 manual. Takes about an hour to do with common hand tools and requires the removal of the instrument cluster.| temperature gauge compensation board | 240 series | 1986-93 | | MR-1363117 | Reg. $61.54 | | Each |
