I first got sucked into Volvos by fellow co-worker and long time friend Christopher Delano, back in our early high school years here in Portland, Oregon. He owned a 1981 242T and one afternoon he let drop the hammer when leaving the school parking lot. Right then I knew I had to have a turbocharged car.
It turns out he was planning on buying a Saab 9000 turbo so it worked out well for me. A few weeks later I was leaving school destroying my own tires. Having gotten all that out of my system at an early age (wink, wink) I am now driving a family 245Ti wagon (baby seat soon to be included). What’s your Volvo story?
