Everything started at age 10 when I was getting interested in cars. From my family I started to know them and a 70’s Volvo got my attention in a parking lot for its elegance and conservative aspect. Time passed and high performance cars started to be my daily interest. In my time as a student during college where I had no income and no car, I went with my girlfriend (now my wife) to rent a movie at blockbuster and realize that there was a Volvo dealer across the street. I got down from the taxi and walked directly to it and watch the Volvo cars inside wishing and saying to myself that one day I would have one of those and establish that wish into a goal. Years later, newly wed and with a more economical stability, the opportunity to buy a car came along and searched for a Volvo S60 T5 during 7 months. My wish was coming true and the day came when I saw it on the Internet. The next day I took a plane and went to buy it. The excitement of going back home driving it for 8 hours was huge and mostly because it was something I wished for since I was a child. Now, my car has been totally transformed, from being as original, it has come to have modifications not only on the outside but also the performance. Little by little the investment has been coming along, from painting the side molds up to reprogramming the computer, the exhaust, wheels, breaks, etc. Opportunities have come to change the car to a new one but the reality is that this car has fulfilled my expectations and has erased all the possible paradigms from people around me that think that Volvo is not a type of car that can be high performance. To develop almost a 330 hp is not something easy to achieve and for Volvo is something that can be done obtaining the right parts for it, and especially with an excellent customer service like IPD. The important thing is not to forget that any modification has to go along with security and is something that Volvo knows and has as their priority as well as it is now for me and for my family. That’s why this makes me say “Volvo for Life”.
