Tip! Next time you have the lug nuts removed from your car, take a look at the area at the base of the tapered seat. It’s not uncommon for the soft stock lug nuts to develop a groove in this area. Over time the groove can become deep enough that the lug nut can no longer be properly torqued and could lead to an unsafe situation.
