| Suspension Bushings and Kits in Rubber and HD Polyurethane

If your Volvo doesn’t track straight down the road and you’ve had difficulty getting the front end properly aligned, the suspension bushings may be worn or broken. Clunking sounds when driving on rough or graveled roads, squeaking noises over railroad tracks or intersections are also key indicators of bushing problems. Front-end shakes, clunks and squeals come from excessive play in worn bushings and can cause misalignment and dangerous handling when driving. It is also terribly hard on your tires. Take a quick look; you’ll be able to tell if the problem is bushing deterioration or another problem. If it’s bushings, you’ll see cracks in the edges of the rubber. If you’re unfamiliar with how your Volvo’s suspension works and what to look for, make an appointment to have it inspected by your local Volvo specialist or give us a call as our staff is well trained in diagnosing Volvo suspension problems and we’ll be glad to steer you in the right direction.
We carry original rubber style bushings and heavy duty polyurethane bushings for most models. See kit descriptions for more info.

Trailing Rod Bushing Tool
Why is it that the bushing that fails the most often on the 200 series suspension is the one that requires a special tool to service? Now you can be the first in your neighborhood to have your own trailing arm bushing tool. Everyone you know who owns a 200 series will suddenly become your best friend. Replacing the lower rear trailing arm bushing is almost impossible without this tool. We have heard of people using a cutting torch to burn the old bushing out and a few other creative attempts, but it is generally accepted by Volvo owners that the factory-style bushing tool is the only way to do the job safely and efficiently. This normally means taking your Volvo to the dealer, as the factory tool is very expensive. Now available at an affordable do-it-yourself price, this tool is built specifically to extract and install the lower rear trailing arm bushing on all 240 and 260 series Volvos 1975 to 1993. Comes with detailed instructions.
We carry original rubber style bushings and heavy duty polyurethane bushings for most models. See kit descriptions for more info.
