The basic steps for applying POR-15 is to clean away any rust scale, etch the affected area with POR-15 Metal Ready and then paint with POR-15. When left exposed to sunlight regular POR-15 will dull if not painted over. Use the Chassis black version for repairing exposed areas where you want a nice gloss black finish.
