Heavy-Duty Lower Trailing Arm Bushings for 1967 122s and 1800s

In 1967, Volvo introduced a new rear suspension design that included a cylindrical lower rear trailing arm bushing. In 1968, they changed the design again. If you have a 1967 122 or 1800, you know this bushing is expensive and rare. ipd offers a polyurethane replacement that’s half the cost of the original and lasts longer, too. You’ll still need to have the old one pressed out, but our replacement can be installed by hand.

Poly bushings will keep suspension geometry more accurate during hard braking and cornering, offering better traction and control where you need it most. Check your application before ordering as some bushing kits are for specific years only.

Steering Couplers

If your steering feels loose and you’ve confirmed that the bushings, ball joints, tie rods and steering box adjustment are all in good order, check your steering coupler. Early 122’s used a round rubber disc, later 122’s used two grommets. 1800’s used a different coupler altogether. Our 122 couplers are polyurethane instead of rubber and competitively priced when compared with OEM parts. Choose your coupler from the photo.
