Do Paint Chips Drive You Crazy?

Do you avoid touching up chips on your Volvo’s paint because your repair usually looks worse than the chip? ipd now sells a product made by Langka (the originator of touch up paint finishing) that makes it easy for the do it yourselfer to achieve professional results. Simply blob on your touch up paint to fill the chip until you have built a solid base (available in a pen form for $16.95 from ipd). Once your touch up paint has dried (usually about 90 minutes) apply a small amount of Langka to a clean towel and use the provided polishing tool to smooth out your touch up making the paint chip nearly disappear. This product was suggested to us by a customer that has used it with good results on his own Volvos. We tried it and were surprised at how easy it is to do and at how good it looks.

Spot Prep Pen Makes Touch-up Painting Easy!

This spot prep pen quickly scrubs away rust, wax, oxidation, and road film to prepare for a long lasting touch-up like no other tool can. Over 20,000 glass fibers in the pen point clean out your paint chips in prepping for paint.

Prep pen scuffs and deglosses paint in hard-to-reach areas. It also works great for soldering prep and cleaning electrical contacts and connectors. Perfect for auto detailing, cleaning aluminum, screw heads, crevices, and grooves. It even prepares surfaces for gluing.

C30 STCC T-Shirt

Celebration time!Volvo Green Racing distinguished themselves in the 2009 Swedish Touring Car Championship by winning both the driver and manufacturer's trophies. Not only that but the C30's were quickest in all qualifying sessions over the entire season, a first in the fourteen year history of the STCC. This was only the second season that Volvo campaigned the C30 in this ultra-competitive series. Polestar did a great job of preparing and fielding the two car team.

We're proud of Volvo's accomplishment and are offering these eight-color printed T-shirts to commemorate their accomplishment. Printed on Glidan's high quality medium weight T-shirts. These are 100% pre-shrunk white cotton and feature a seamless double-needle collar and taped neck and shoulders. Not only do they look great but they feel great too!

Chrome Headlight Rings

One of the first things someone will notice about a vintage Volvo is the condition of the grilles and headlight rings. These rings are OE grade and highly polished for that “better than new” look. You’ll need to wear shades.

Butyl Putty Tape

We now have the correct style, gray butyl putty for restoration of your vintage Volvo. This can be found in various places on your car.

For example, the Volvo 122 uses a blob of this putty behind each side trim clip (this is especially important in keeping the rain out of the trunk). Other spots include a layer on the rail between body and front fender, between gas tank rim and body, and a bead below the wing window under the upper door panel.
