Cooling System Parts and Preventative Maintenance Tips
Volvo thermostats are not known for there long lifespan. Radiators seem to like the idea of a short career too and are prone to leaks which can result in overheating. With Volvo’s of the past overheating wasn’t such a big issue but with the aluminum engine blocks in todays cars, overheating can be more than just an imposition but a potentially high repair bill from leaking head gaskets to warped heads. Take some preventative steps and be sure to replace items that go together:
Thermostats + ECT sensors / Radiators + hoses / Cooling fan + relay
*includes coolant sensor, does not include gasket
