Customer Feedback

By: ipd customers

“ipd,

You were right (as always), the stage 1 ECU upgrade in our 1999 V70 R Wagon has been very impressive. The improvement in the performance is amazing. There is a lot more power with a wider power range in RPM’s. With the extra weight of AWD and being a wagon, this car is much quicker than my 850 T5.

Thank you for your recommending the upgrade, it is very well worth it!”Robert R.

“Dear Mr. Gordon:

Your organization very kindly sent me the latest ipd catalog which I read cover to cover. Thank you, it was riveting and highly informative.

I’ve had three vintage-age Volvos and managed to keep them together myself by a process of “reverse engineering” and intuition and common sense, though I’ve not always been able to dodge car repair sharks who know how to scare lady car owners. Sometimes I could glean some info from the Haynes, the Chilton less so. My next purchase will be a Bentley Bible.

Your catalog is wonderfully helpful where it points out notorious Volvo afflictions (i.e., the loosening ignition switch, etc.). The catalog is also good at instilling that contagious thing called upgrade fever. In fact, once I finally complete the “Stage Zero” rehabilitation of my big Swede, I may consider one of those anti-sway bars and who knows what else.”

Very truly yours,Judy P.

RIP kit - Now Powder Coated!

We’ve been listening to our customers ask for more from the ipd RIP kit and now you’ve got it! Ipd’s RIP kit is now powder coated instead of brushed stainless to increase the resistance to heat soak and allow for easy cleaning and better appearance under the hood. We’ve added this new feature but kept the price the same without changing the quality or material of our pipes. If you want quicker throttle response and lower boost temps so you can get more power from your Volvo, Ipd’s RIP kit is for you. During our testing we found a 12 degree centigrade drop in charge temps and 14 inches of reduced piping length, and we were able to run an additional 3 pounds of boost without needing any changes to our tuning. Still the easiest kit available to install, just two pipes and five silicone connectors. Kit comes complete with T bolt clamps and step by step instructions.

RalliTEK’s New Family Member

RalliTEK welcomes our newest member Elliot McLain to the family! Elliot is now part of the RalliTEK install facility and is our resident Volvo technician. He has been turning a wrench for the last 13 years and has spent time in dealerships from Alaska to Oregon. His most recent dealership experience was DeLon Volvo in Salem, but as a well rounded technician Elliot has spent time in independents too so he is familiar with both sides of the repair industry. He drives a 1983 240 wagon and outside of restoring old cars, including rewiring his dads 57 Chev bel air two door, he enjoys black and white photography and painting with acrylics. Quite the renaissance man! So if you’re in our neck of the woods stop in and say hi to Elliot and the rest of the RalliTEK service team!
