(Odometer reads in KM) The car was ordered at the Paris auto show in 1994 and I picked up in Belgium in May of 1995, driven through Europe and shipped to America. IT has seen 162 mph on the German Autobahn and turns 5.6 sec zero to 60 time. This car was featured in the magazine "Turbo" along with the IPD project wagon. The car is equipped with: IPD Sport coils, Bilstein shocks and struts, Drilled rotors and ceramic pads, IPD sport bars front and rear, Strut brace, CD Changer, All available 850 options, Pia Fog lights in place of original fog lights, IPD headlight conversion kit (Originals go with the car) Color Black paint is average for the age of the car. Yes this is an 1996 850R Wagon. The car runs and sounds like a BEAST! It is the rare triple black, (black paint, black interoir, and black walnut dash trim). It also has the rare 3rd row seating. The headlights have been upgraded to HD. It has upgrades such as the ARD White Chip and a manual boost controller at 17 psi. I also have the original ECU if you want to put it back in. It passed smog in Sept. of last year. It has a 3" catback exhaust, all new silicone intercooler hoses, brand new disk brakes and drilled rotors, lowering springs, full stage 0 done. It will eventually need a new radiator and a new abs mod. There is 147,000 miles on the car, but the odometer no longer works. We have put on roughly 300 miles on the car since that occured (we drove to San Fransico and back and then to Pismo Beach and back). It is our third car and we have just decided that we don't need it. I have the title, tho I never tranfered it into my name when we bought it from the last owner in Oct, the title is clean and clear, tags are good till Sept 2013. I'm asking $4000 obo. 1996 pearl red 850 sedan, 5-speed manual. It needs work and I no longer have the money to put into it. it needs a water pump and it leaks oil, i recently replaced the clutch, flywheel, front rotors, brakes, new caliper bracket, and new front hub assemblies. 1996 850 5 speed manual. MUST SELL DUE TO SHOULDER SURGERY. Excellent mechanical condition. 134k silver with black leather interior. Purchased from my Volvo mechanic who maintained since new. In last 12 months this car has had new ball joints & tie rod ends, new front brakes & rotors, new engine mount, trans service, complete tune up inc. plug wires, newer Yokohama speed rated tires, front end alignment, new Pioneer rear speakers, new cv joint, and windshield washer pump. Oil changed every 5k with Castrol 10w40 oil & Volvo filter. Doesn't burn or leak any oil. I have owned 5 volvos going back to my 1977 244dl which I put 400k on. THIS IS A GREAT CAR I HATE TO PART WITH! Had to buy a Volvo with auto trans. At 80 mph on freeway, very smooth, solid.
