I Bought it to haul photo gear around for a few projects I was doing in Albany while I was living in Eugene. Engine/drivetrains: -Runs strong, pulls great. Valve ticking, doesn't affect performance. -Will need the overdrive solenoid replaced. It works 85% of the time, but every now and then it decides not to play nice behaves a little wonky. No rhyme or reason as to why. Very common fix for this transmission at this mileage.-New all season tires w/ less than 3000 miles on them. Exterior: Gold, paint in good most of the way around. Large scratch on passenger side, some bubbling near the roof rack mounts, and some rough spots on the hood. Small dent+scratch on hatch Dent on front driver-side fender (in picture). Except for the Blitzen shock absorbers, the car is 100% Volvo. There are no dents in the body (only a hard to notice hood bump,- hood, center left). No body damage ever. Not a show car, but the paint is all original and shines like new, even the striping is in great condition. No broken or cracked glass. Sunroof too. Carpets very good to excellent. The back seat has seen little use. This car IS NOT LIKE NEW, but it is surely a very, very, fine specimen of the classic 240 and 740 series. Yakama racks on top (looking for keys) And the TLC needed is fun, not a chore. Drive this car for a week and you see how many people admire a well kept Volvo. The AC blows cold. We could send our grand daughter to the east coast and back without a worry. Tires are 75%. Silver and red is choice combination
