This car is pretty much stock. It has 47K original miles on the odometer and I am the second owner. The Bertone has spent it's entire life in Northern California mostly covered in a garage. It has a couple of minor flaws in the body and paint but is in very good to excellent shape overall. The interior is intact and unmodified including the original Am/Fm cassette stereo. I have the original window sticker for the car and most, if not all, of the service records since the car was new. Many of you Volvo folks that attended the 2010 Davis car show have seen this car there. It received a second place ribbon for the 200 series in the Peoples Choice Awards. It's truly immaculate and easily in the top 5 nicest Volvo 240's I've ever seen. Not a single spot inside or out, body is arrow straight, not a speck of rust, and the paint is flawless! I bought this from a 75 year old man who bought it new in 1990 who garage kept it, & have only driven it less than 800km since then. The odometer broke at 91ish, was estimated at 97,000 when I bought it and i've had it for about a year where it's been driven gently and locally. It's a clean car, no modifications. Automatic transmission which shifts very smoothly and on time. Charcoal gray with a black leather interior which is very nice excepting some wear on the drivers seat. Most of the rubber engine hoses and components were replaced within the year, brakes and air filter are brand new, and the brake master cylinder is brand new. On the downside the antenna is messed up, but it still picks up most stations and would be around a $15 fix. The car also has some light scratches on the passenger side. I really love this car, and I'm only selling it get money for another Volvo. If you know Volvos (which you probably do seeing where you are) then you know the 240 is just great.
