It is with a sad heart I email the IPD team about our 1998 S70 T5 5-speed that was in an accident this morning due to ice. I presume the insurance company will total the car and it is a shame. This car is originally a Canadian car that was imported. The previous owner, Cassie Price, a former IPD employee and another IPD employee built out this S70 very nicely. It has a newer 16t angled flange turbo, 3" to 2.5" performance SS exhaust, R seat skins with swede inserts, and digital air/fuel gauge. Not leave out the a 5-speed transmission. I will need to decide to accept the insurance offer or buy it back to sell it to an enthusiast who can take some of the great car and carry it on. Please share this around the Volvo community as I would like to see some of this car live on. If there are any interested parties they can respond via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone/text me at 503-298-1103. We have had three Volvo's and still have an XC90. IPD has been great to us and I appreciate what you all do for the V-community.
1998 V70R, auto, saffron exterior, gray R interior with metallic inlays. I am the original owner and have enjoyed it since new. Car has 206 K miles all highway miles accumulated during my upstate 100 miles commute to second home on weekends. Beyond the warranty period the car has been exclusively maintained by Lorenzutti Motors, a Volvo specialist shop in Brooklyn NY. The car has IPD ECU , rear third row child seats, Dual outlet exhaust, IPD ipod adapter, rear spoiler, fender turn indicators, new battery. In addition it is being sold with 2 sets of wheels / tires; 16 inch original wheels with Blizzak snows with excellent rubber (2 seasons), 17inch R typr wheels with excellent Continental summer tires. These R type wheels were refinished a little over a year ago. I will also include two sets of Volvo crossbars. One set has stand up bike attachment, the other I had used with ski box (not included). As you can see the car is in excellent shape. Paint very good as the car was waxed regularly. The body is in great shape, never an accident, no rust. The only blemishes are barely noticeable. A dent caused by a crossbar falling on the hood and a slight surface scratch rearward of rear drivers side passenger door. I own 2 other vehicles but as I am retiring I wanted to replace my wagon. If Volvo still made a V70R wagon I would have purchased another. This has been a wonderful car enjoyed by me and my family. I am selling car for $7,000. The vehicle can be shown on weekends at my upstate NY home (100 miles North of NYC) OR by appointment in Brooklyn NY. Email address: email@example.com.
Fire-breathing V8 swapped 1990 Volvo 740 Wagon Grey on Grey One of the fastest, best handling cars I’ve owned. “Under the radar†because of it’s looks, but I can’t say that it’s a total sleeper because the exhaust rumble is not subdued. This swap was done several years and owners ago. It was either performed with previously available swap kit parts from Converse Engineering or just by a sharp mechanic that did a lot of these. A“well sorted†car functional gauges, controls and interior appointments. (no lame ad-on gauges or hokey toggle switches etc) Specs: Slate Grey Metallic (Recent re-spray in factory color) Manual hand crank sunroof (swapped in a manual sunroof from a donor car) 760 aero-style headlights with factory foglights next to grill. Factory 760 turbo egg-crate grill. Factory Volvo V-90 door handles. Turbo style blacked out trim. Blacked out emblems. Euro Side turn-signal repeaters. This is my dad's single owner 1986 Volvo 245 wagon. He's had it since '86 when he purchased it new. We're looking for $1000 for it. It definitely has WI rust going on, the body panels have a few blemishes as seen in the photos but the wheel wells and floor pans in the foot wells are very rusty. It has a B230F engine in excellent condition. The drivetrain on this car is the real value, it has been meticulously maintained and only has around ~4000 hours on it (hour meter was installed a few years after purchase). The engine starts right up every time, even in the dead of winter when it's run to keep the battery charged. The car comes with full maintenance records for everything that has ever been worked on back to purchase including each oil change with the weight of oil used. Current oil change has less than 500 miles on it. The car has Blizzak snow tires in the rear that probably have less than 1000 miles on them. Some recent new parts are: * Full exhaust system from the headers down * Brand new front control arms, control arm mounts, springs, tie rods and ball joints. * All Brakes (Disc + Pads) * Sway Bar Mount + Alternator Belts + Water Pump The interior is decent; there's one split in the driver's seat that I can think of. The fuel and temperature gauges are intermittent, sometimes they read fine but sometimes they either read zero or high. The odometer stopped moving in the last few years, I had it apart and it's the same broken gear that happens to every single Volvo. I didn't replace it at the time because I use the engine hour meter anyway. The heat works great, A/C is long since inop. The drivetrain and interior on this car would be great to put on to a body with a dead engine but no rust.
1993 Volvo 940 Turbo with 221,000 miles. Runs great, but will need a new water pump which is about $45 dollars. My dad has owned it has a second car for about 12 years, and until it was time to move it along, we serviced it for ANYTHING it needed. Has some IPD parts on it (OD bypass kit, and a few other small things.) Does leak from the water pump, and has the typical rear main seal leak, but we have a new seal that comes with the car. Please email with any questions. Asking $1800 OBO. Turbo has plenty of pressure still. Does need some cosmetic TLC Car has new: 1. Tires 2. Battery 3. Exhaust 4. fuel pump relay 5. turbo hose 6. Less than 10,000 miles on timing belt. Email me Stephen.Fairfull@gmail.com
1995 Volvo T5R. 55,000 miles One of the original 1200 factory special T5R models with all options. Black on Black. Original owner. Note the serial number contains the limited production X designation, ONLY the original 1200 cars had this X designation. This car was featured in "Turbo" magazine alongside IPD's modified wagon at that time. A copy of this magazine will be provided with the car. This car was ordered at the Paris auto show in 1994 during the announcement of the T5R program. Delivery was in Europe and the car has been driven on the Autobahn at speeds of over 160 MPH. Total mileage indicates approx 96,000 KM or about 55,000 mile. The odometer and computer records in KM but speedo is MPH. The car has Bilstein shocks and struts, IPD stage III coils and bars, Stage III computer program, cold air induction, MSD Ignition coil, wires, etc. All belts were replaced at 60,000 KM, as was the alternator and battery. Brakes are IPD cross drilled and vented, stainless lines, stainless exhaust, etc. Also an aluminum strut brace and added charcoal vent filter. IPD headlight conversions were added about 5 years ago and the originals are provided with the car. All fluids are synthetic and have always been synthetic, changed at 5000 KM intervals. The interior cannot be discerned from new but the paint is not as good even though the stone chips have been professionally repaired. Original T5R wheels and good 215-40 WR Bridgestone tires at about 50% average tread. The engine bay was featured in the IPD catalogs of the 1990's and early 20's (a copy is provided). The car is presently in storage as it has been most of the last 15 years. I am asking $35,000 for this car with delivery available at cost anywhere in the world outside of Russia and Africa. More photos available on request through email.
1966 122S with 63,xxx original miles. Car sold new in Tuscon, Az, sold to a family in Orem Ut where my son & I bought it 20 yrs ago. It has only been in the West and NW it's entire life. No winter driving in last 20 yrs. When my son went to Iraq, I was driving cross country and would pick up parts as needed. The motor, a B-20 FI, was built by Revolstore in Tuscon using an IPD big-bore kit. All new gaskets, seals, bearings, cam and cam gear. Less than 500 mi on motor. Back in Utah a new clutch assy, all new front suspension pieces, again IPD, poly bushings, brakes redone with SS brake lines; HD motor mounts and center bearing; clutch slave cyl rebuilt. Bilstein HD shocks along with lowering springs and f/r sway bars. IPD headers (Jet hot coated) new exhaust, a new twin tip Monza tip(not installed) included. Recent rebuilt and polished SU carbs. The motor has been started and runs, but needs the new gastank plummed and misc wiring finished. Car was stripped and glass removed for a color change to Copper met., NOS windshield and gasket installed along with the rear backlight. Black leather seats from 300ZX installed. All trim, glass and gaskets not installed is included along with many duplicates. Original dash and cluster, and interior pieces, much of which needs to be redone. Original wheels, but will need tires, as they are severly weather checked. 4" thick file of parts only goes with this. This is almost done, but age and health and family pressure requires it to GO.
