Aluminum Skid Plate Take time to protect your oil pan and transmission before it's too late. Cast aluminum parts are vulnerable to damage from debris and potholes. Once damaged, the car cannot be driven without ruining the engine, and oil pan replacement costs over $700.
Our skid plates are made of hydro-cut aluminum plate, over 1/8th inch thick. Access to all service points is retained for ease of maintenance. Lightweight aluminum construction installs in about 1/2 hour with common hand tools. Easy to install!

I have an IPD aluminum skid plate on my 1987 745 and installed one on my 2001 S60 as soon as IPD released it. Installation was simple (if you don't mind crawling under the car), all bolt holes lined up and instructions were easy to follow. I really appreciate that IPD provides openings for the oil pan drain plug and oil filter; no more removing the OE belly pan to change oil. Thanks IPD for the peace of mind.
