Oxygen sensors are a critical component in the fuel management system. Their ability to sample and measure the exhaust gases ensures: optimal fuel efficiency, lowest emissions, and longest catalytic converter life. A dead oxygen sensor may evidence its failure with significant idle and performance problems. Be sure there are no other faults before replacing just the oxygen sensor.
Use our oxygen sensor tool for easier removal. It attaches to a 3/8" ratchet or extension, and has a slot machined in it that allows it to be slipped over the sensor wire.
