Automatic Transmission Fluid Mobil ATF 3309 is recommended for use in transmissions made by Aisin AW requiring a fluid approved against Type T-IV, JWS 3309, GM 9986195 and Audi G-052-025-A2. These Aisin AW transmissions are used in CERTAIN domestic and foreign vehicles, including Audi, Saab, Volvo, Volkswagen, and Porsche.
The unique formulation of Mobil ATF 3309 is designed to provide excellent lubrication of transmissions in specified Aisin AW slip-controlled lock-up automatic transmissions. These outstanding performance capabilities translate into significant operational benefits, including:

Our recommendation on replacement (flushing) is to use the color of the fluid as the indicator. Light pinkish brown to light golden brown OK to leave it. Once the fluid is brown to blackish-brown it is time to replace. (Volvo only recommends replacement on towing service at 52,500 miles (84,000 kilometers)).

Was experiencing second to third gear upshift hesitation, particularly when the car was cold. Decided to accomplish a 12 qt. flush. Located a source for 3309 & ordered a case. Unfortunately, it wasn't from IPD.....the freight was half as much as the product!
I did a "modified" flush per a procedure that I had gleaned off the Web. No brainer indeed. The old fluid was quite brown, which was completely replaced by the end of the flush. Problem gone!!!

At 65.000 miles I had a problem with the transmission taking several seconds to
engage and also missing shifts usually when going up a hill but towards the end (
before flushing ) it would also act up when ever. Do make sure that you check
transmission level with the motor on and transmission hot as per instruction from
IPD. I missed this and since I had pumped out two gallons too many I had to
purchase extra oil ( bad math on my part ). For ease purchase the flex funnel and
the transfer hose even if it is only a clear tube with a couple of O rings it is the right
size so you can do the job ASAP.
The instructions were however wrong for my car which caused the missing two
gallons of oil FYI. An IPD tech person explained that there sometimes the flow was
reversed and the job becomes quite dirty when one ( as in my case ) have to
remove the oil from the lower end of the oil cooler. Bottom line, my transmission is
"like new" so I am happy.

Changed yesterday, no problems doing so with iPD's kit. Some web research has
shown this is the best product for the change. 60k miles on the vehicle and previous
owner didn't do any ATF change, fluid came out pretty dark, after about 10qts
started coming out red. I did 12qt flush and was red as new, transmission shifting
and feeling amazing.

Direct replacement for the Volvo JWS3309 ATF Fluid. Did a 12 qt. flush on my V70R Geartronic slushbox, and along with the IPD hoses and flush kit, runs like a charm!
