Volvo V70/XC70 2001-2007 » Heavy Duty Turbo Control Valve

I`ve got a Volvo s60 2001 2,4Tmodel, its raw power, its been chipped 250 hp+
Its always been a little lagging? from 0-100. But after installing this product, much smooter and faster turbo acceleration. not sure if i need a turbo gage, to measure the pressure, wich is recommende to buy together with the valve. Everything is working great.

Little difficult to install,because i dont have the original air filter housing installed.
But managed to make it fit, with a little custom bracket:)

This tcv is very nice quality, easy to install, and performs as advertised. The metal fittings means no 10 year old plastic cracking when removing the vac lines if needed. Knowing that iPd customer service is there to help should I have problems makes it that much better. Thanks!

neutral on the difference it made, but for a hundred bucks it couldnt hurt. if you want my opinion save the cash for a new intake and exhaust. not to knock ipd but i just got a evolve downpipe,pcu, and exhaust, this thing rips. american muscle is dead!!!!volvo for life

ipd customer service response: Our HDTCV will not make your volvo faster, it is designed to replace a faulty OEM TCV. Many people have failing TCVs and don't know it. Ours should last longer than VOlvo's and perform better for its lifespan.

I thought for a while about getting this TCV. Yes I might feel a difference, but it's probably more a mental thing than something measurable. But, in the end I got one. I fitted it late last night and went to a local industrial estate where the roads are deserted to carry out the "learning" instructions. Fitting the valve was easy and the instructions were perfect.

So, what was the result? in all honesty, the first words out of my mouth were F@#k ME !!!! and that around the biggest grin I've had in ages. I thought I'd fitted another engine into my car. I've not yet been able to measure (by the seat of my pants) just how far this will go as I don't have a road long enough (yet...) I'd measured the boost on max accel at around 18psi which I though was pretty good for a 98 V70R with 160k but last night I eased off after it swung round to 20 and was intent on climbing more!!.
I now have to go for an RIP kit so I can be sure I don't blow my old ones off either that or I'm going to blow my turbo!.
Man, this is phenomenal, if you're still running a stock TCV on a 10 yr old car all I can say is you will slap yourself around the head for having waited so long, that and have a permanent grin plastered on your face :)
If I can fault any of this it was that the holes on my IPD short ram intake didn't line up with the TCV's, but a needle file fixed that.

Great product! Very smooth and steady boostcontrol. Like Mr Sterns commented about driving on cruise control, it is impresing how fast the response in boost pressure is. Fuel-consumption is also affected positively, at least for my otherwise stock 2.0 T engine, at least under normal driving :)

I had the IPD HD TCV installed as part of my Stage III upgrade on my ’98 V70 T5. What I find almost more impressive than the ‘right now’ response you get on demand, is watching the boost gage with cruise control set. Let’s say we’re traveling 72 mph on the open road. As the grade of the road changes, boost pressure is delivered in the precise amount needed to maintain the exact set speed. How can you complain about fast response and accuracy? Great product. From the moment you see the product and pick it up and compare the quality and weight between this and the OE piece, you will be impressed. This is a piece that works very well with an ECU upgrade. Boost is steady and strong, with no doubts. Easy install and well worth the cost.

Used this to replace my tired old original. Boost is much smoother now. I didn't know what I had lost...Installation was easy. May be more challenging if you decide to replace your vacuum lines while you are at it...I suggest doing that if you still have your old original rubber ones on there. It is just a matter of time before they rot and fail...

Amazing product!
For different rerasons I had to take the car to the dealer 3 times in one week, so I took it off and put it back on several times and that gave me the chance to feel the huge difference in performance between the IPD one and the OEM TCV. Also it literally takes less than a minute to install.

I added this IPD HD TCV to both of our Volvo's- '98 S70 T5 and a '04 2.5T V70. Wow, what a difference in both cars...turbo boost comes on strong and very smoothly through-out the power band...much more evenly especially on the low end and this was most noticeable on the older S70. Thank you for continuing to make great products that out-perform Volvo's own!
