Your engine is provided with a less turbulent air stream than other popular filtering mediums (like paper and foam.) k&n air filters may provide better engine breath but they also alow small particles to get into your engine! if you look at the filter up to light you can see tiny holes in it! use oem!

Always use K&N. better gas milage, save money on filters, and better performance. Not many upgrades do all at once.

Have used K&N filters in previous Volvos and this was a painless and enjoyable upgrade to the stock system. Provides a little throatier sound on hard acceleration.
