Floor Mats (Molded Plastic)

Floor Mats (Molded Plastic)
Specially designed to fit snugly into your Volvo, tiny nubs on the underside create a non-slip grip, and the built-up lip keeps dirt in its place, off your carpet. Help maintain the resale value of your Volvo by keeping the carpets in good shape while keeping your car, safe. Not to mention that wet carpets create a musty, moldy smell in your car and can lead to corrosion and rust problems.

Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

9M5010 Reviewed by George Butler from Tallinn, Estonia, NE Europe

I am told that, though they've given the "private label" treatment with the IPD
name, that these are actually the Rensi mats, from the Swedish manufacturer
Plastomer. Google them to find the fitment charts on their web site. Whatever the
label, these are great!

(Interesting to see that IPD still has mats for the 850, as they are no longer
available for the 850 from Plastomer, at least for the moment.)

Note that for the 700s (and maybe 900s?) that Rensi makes two different mats for
the passenger side front: One is for cars with catalytic converter, the other for
those without cat. I picked my set up from a local auto parts chain store here in
Tallinn, and tried the "without cat" mat in my North American "with cat" car. It did
not fit. Whether the opposite is true, that is to say, if the mat for "with cat" cars
will fit those cars without cat, I can't say. (Gee, I didn't know that the floor pans
would be different!) At any rate, if you're ordering for a non-cat car, check with
Customer Service. Maybe IPD stocks both, or can get the non-cat mat for you.

I highly recommend these for anyone living in the snow belt. If you have kids or
frequent rear seat passengers, you'll want the rear mats, too.

I bought all four for my 87 744T. The mats fit like a glove, and shipping was startlingly fast - from Portland, OR to Edmonton, AB in THREE WORKING DAYS via USPS. Great looking mats that lend a nice, clean, "nordic" feel to the car. Now my carpets are safe from the indignities that winter can inflict on them. Very pleased indeed.

When I bought my wagon, the previous owner was smart enough to have bought some IPD parts for it. Among the purchases he had made was a set of these IPD front floor mats. I cleaned them up and kept them because I liked how nicely they fit the contours of the floor pans. I didn't realize just how well they held liquid from getting on my carpet, though, until I accidentally left a to-go cup of soda sitting on that little raised bump on the floor next to the center console (it's the perfect size and height to hold a soda!) and forgot it was there. That's a good place for a soda when you are sitting still, but as soon as you move the soda crashes on its side and opens its contents on your floor board. The IPD floor mat held ALL the liquid from the large soda and its walls were high enough that I was able to drive all the way back to work where I carefully removed it from the car and dumped it out. The carpet was saved and my car still smells nice! Thanks IPD!!!
