Simply place the wire in the jaws of the tool to the depth you would like the insulation stripped ( up to 1"), squeeze the handles and the insulation is cut and removed in a single action. No more guessing at the wire gauge and pulling at awkward angles to try and remove the insulation as with conventional strippers. Also works great in tight spaces such as under the dash or in the engine compartment where conventional strippers often can not be used. Automatically adjusts to strip 12 to 22 gauge wire, which should cover just about anything on your car except for the battery cables.
