Volvo S80 1999-2006 » Front Endlinks (Heavy Duty)
Standard front anti-sway bar endlinks are known for their tendency to pop or click when they wear out. ipd's new heavy duty endlinks not only feature a polished ball for lower socket erosion, but also an increased rod diameter to reduce deflection under high load or when running our beefier safety anti-sway bars (12mm diameter vs. 10mm on the stock links). Simple installation into the factory position with no modifications required. Reap the reward of better design and higher performance and save a few bucks compared to the cost of original volvo replacements. *Priced as each, you will need quantity 2 to do one car Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. When you see these next to the stock endlinks, you can see there is a difference. Then, once installed (I installed at the same time as IPD's anti-sway bars), you can feel the difference. All the squeaks and thumps from Volvo' inadequate OE endlinks have disappeared and been replaced with smoother, more effective corning. Do not let your local Volvo dealer install the OE endlinks in your car when the OE ones wear out (and they will); in fact don't wait for the OE endlinks to wear out! Worthwhile upgrade.

I’ve heard stories of stock endlinks failing. So when I bought the track spec IPD anti sway bars, the stock endlinks were just too thin for the job. There was now way they were going to resist the extra pressure given by a less flexible bar. I decided to go with the IPD ones as the QBM ones were just too bulky. Pressure is applied vertically along the endlink bar and not transversely, so I thought IPD’s are enough. IPD endlinks alone are not going to upgrade your cornering, handling or the stock sways, but they are a necessary complement to the IPD anti sway bars. So far, they do the job. Time will tell how good they are.

This part helped me eliminate a common failure part on my V70. Don't know why my stock links failed (and in one instance disappeared all together), but I do know that these larger links eliminated the problem. IPD knows their stuff and only sells the best!

Not sure if these are totally necessary. I had my original end links replaced twice while under warranty, so three sets lasted me 108000 miles. But I went with the IPD anti sway bar so I didn’t want to chance breaking one and sending it through a break line or something.
