Magnetic Drain Plug

Prevent abrasive particles from re-circulating through your oil pump and back into the pressurized system with ipd's magnetic drain plug.

This plug catches and holds metal particles as they drain into the oil pan. You'll be able to spot deteriorating engine conditions easily. The plug features 17mm hex head (same as stock) and new seal ring.

The magnet at the end is not molded to the bolt. Magnet seems like it is low quality and may not be very powerful, which seems somewhat scary as it could possibly become detached in the oil pan. Don't think I will be installing, instead I will look for one with a more powerful magnet which is molded to the bolt itself.
