ABS Control Module  Antilock Brake Systems or ABS is an integral part of the safety of your car. Stopping a car on a slippery surface or in a panic situation can cause us to quickly appreciate ABS. These systems work with the aide of sensors at the wheels, computers and control modules. ABS allows us to slow and stop a car in the event the tires lose traction with the ground no matter the surface or conditions.
When the ABS system does not work properly we are not reaping the full advantage of a major safety system. To ensure you are getting the most out of this feature, make sure your TRACS or ABS light is off.
To ensure correct fitment, you need to verify the part number on the unit that is currently in your car. Check the alternate numbers listed with the units below, match up your part number with one of the "alternate" numbers listed. The number is located on the underside of the unit and is not easily viewed, but you can usually see it with a mirror and a flashlight. ipd cannot accept returned units that have been damaged by installation on the wrong vehicle. Please verify part numbers.
You'll need an external Torx socket to replace this module.

Not Impressed with this unit, It arrived last Thursday 27th August, we fitted the unit
as normal but immediately ABS fault message appeared.We run a dianositic scan which was ABS-0095 control module communication fault, CEM-1A5F no signal from ABS module, signal missing, ECM-A02B faulty ABS signal. we check power & earth supply, all present. It seems we were sent a FAULTY UNIT. we refitted old unit, we had communications.

Easy to install. Economical compared to using the dealer service center. Dealer service wanted -THREE- times the cost to replace the ABS control module. I used the dealer service to confirm diagnosis (~$100).

As the dealer said, the dashboard on my 2000 Volvo V70 was lighting up like a Christmas tree. The Check engine light was always on and the ABS light was often on; sometimes the Brake Light was on, and if the brake light was on, sometimes the speedometer didn’t work. I was told that the problem was the ABS control module. The dealer said it would cost between $750 and $900 to fix. From reading about the module at IPD, it was apparent that the installation of a new one was not difficult. There are only four small bolts that hold the module; You must have the E-5 torx socket to remove these bolts and this torx is impossible to find at the local auto supply, so get it from IPD. The ABS module comes ready to install. After figuring out how to get the wiring harness off the module, it took about ½ hour to install. ( I could do it in 15-minutes next time) After installation, all the dash lights were off immediately. Great way to save over $500.
Hint: to read the Control Module number on the engine, I purchased a dentist’s mirror with a light attached at the drug store. Worked perfectly.
