My key FOB looked like the broken one in your picture. The dealer wanted $150.00 plus $63.00 to program it to the car. NO THANKS. Ordered yours online and it arrived faster than expected. Easily changed over the insides and it works fine.
Thank you IPD!!!

I bought one of these about 2 weeks ago. I had lost my remote lock a few months ago and had deemed it a total loss as it broke off my keychain. I didn't feel like spending the 200+ dollars to get a new one as it's just a remote lock and my 240 never had that. But to my surprise I was riding in my friends back seat 2 weeks ago and found the remains of my remote lock on his floor. Still worked and everything. So I bought one of these 3 hole fob covers and a new battery. It works, and the install was super easy. However I have noticed that one half of the clip that is part of the key ring loop has already cracked, and it has been only two weeks. Maybe I am rough with my fob, as I wear my keys on a carabiner and I sit on them and everything... so I would hate to lose this again =P but it's no big deal. Until then, I'm happy.

This was so easy. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to do it, especially since there were no instructions, but the old one just popped open with a slotted screwdriver, and after gently lifting the seal, the "innards" just came right out. I moved the buttons over, popped that "innards" piece in place and snap, done. Total time about 18 seconds. Nice!

Received this key fob, plus buttons and battery today, one week earlier then stated. Happy with the product and service. As the person stated above, the lock button hole is a little tight, but with a little filing, works like a charm.

These don't work. The original buttons have a white plastic backing that probably increases their thickness. These replacements don't have that and moving it from the orginals looked risky at best, probably impossible. I had already broken the thin connecting arm between two of the original buttons. Without the backing, they are too thin to push the rubber impact points and offer no spring back. Fortunately, the original buttons fit the new case and worked fine even though they were broken.

Total installation time: (maybe) 60 seconds. Savings vs. buying a whole new remote at the dealer (the only other option: well over $100. Well worth it! And the blue is might snazzy, too...
