Received this key fob, plus buttons and battery today, one week earlier then stated. Happy with the product and service. As the person stated above, the lock button hole is a little tight, but with a little filing, works like a charm.

These don't work. The original buttons have a white plastic backing that probably increases their thickness. These replacements don't have that and moving it from the orginals looked risky at best, probably impossible. I had already broken the thin connecting arm between two of the original buttons. Without the backing, they are too thin to push the rubber impact points and offer no spring back. Fortunately, the original buttons fit the new case and worked fine even though they were broken.

Total installation time: (maybe) 60 seconds. Savings vs. buying a whole new remote at the dealer (the only other option: well over $100. Well worth it! And the blue is might snazzy, too...

Great fit and finish.... replaced the battery at the same time and the entire process took about 5 minutes, of which 3 minutes was to wash and dry the plastic buttons and rubber seal. Now it looks brand new.
There is no reason to purchase an entire keyless entry fob and have it programmed to your car, just because the keychain ear is broken or the casing is cracked.
New fob should last another 10 years.

Basically this is a direct replacement for the remote housing. Upon replacing the old falling apart housing, I found that the lock button was rubbing against the edges of the new housing and was causing the button to stick. A little bit of sandpaper was all that I needed to file a very tiny bit of the housing for the lock button and it fits perfectly now.
Aside from the tiny bit of filing needed it was a perfect fit and feels much stronger and much more durable than the stock housing. Just as a note, it does clip together much stronger than the stock housing, so becareful when taking apart the housing to change the battery.

This is the best purchase I've made all year! I saved well over $260 by purchasing your key fob cover. The dealer wanted to sell me a new remote and then charge for programming-when all I needed was a new shell (cover) because my old one was cracked. Thank you for providing such a nice and functional alternative. By the way, the blue cover is really neat...

Nearly perfect fit! I love this and I get positive comments on it all the time! My only gripe about it is that the yellow collects gunk around the key ring hole so if that bothers you, black may be a better choice. IPD should sell the little plastic piece that attaches the battery to the board too. Mine cracked so i had to super glue it :( The plastic feels less brittle than the Volvo one. A+

Just put the new fob cover on and it works great. I made sure to clean the parts well before reassembling and put in a fresh battery.
