R Model Intake Kit

Ipd's "R" Kelly CAI is awesome. IPD has sold over 700 of these kits and I've never heard any complaints (swedespeed forum). All parts are high quality and it's very easy to install. The results of this CAI system are very impressive, my turbo spools faster and harder. My 2007 S60R is a very happy car. IPD ROCKS!!!!!

I just installed this and a K&N on an '05 S80. I'm still trying to make the scoop fit neatly, but it still adds an impressive boost to the turbo. I would highly recommend this as a relatively inexpensive upgrade.

I purchased this along with the IPD air management system. The combination of the two products really woke up the R. I love the sound of the constant air being forced in. Routing the hose can be a bit tricky. I ended up trimming about 6 inches off b/c of the way I chose to route. Otherwise, installation is fairly simple. I highly recommend this part.

Just had it installed by a Desert Oasis Import while I was having some other work done. I couldn't wait to drive it afterward. This with a K&N air filter is unbelievable for the cost. The car pulls like a homesick horse! Now I want to get the ECU flashed next. Any idea when you guys are going to make one for the passenger side too? You guys are great for Volvo! Keep up the great work.

Great Product! Modification should have come stock on the vehicle! I can't believe how restricting the stock air-box is/was. A definite must IMO. Product was top notch. Install took a bit longer than usual, but I wanted everything nice and tidy. (You definitely want to use a hole saw for this install).

I installed this kit on my 04 R with the K&N air filter and noticed an immediate change in acceleration and breathability. The car seems to have more bit and pulling power off the line. As an engineer, I am very critical of designs and their potential for longevity. I gave 4 stars because I would recommend that the flange off the back of the intake funnel be longer as so to get better attachment to the air hose. I added some of the silicone that comes with the kit to make a stronger connection. This kit obvious works, was easy to install, has great instructions and is worth the money.

Got the car back from my tuner today. They did the IPD intakte kit and new silicone vacuum hoses. Big difference. I'm happy the way the turbo spools up. Now the engine gets the air she deserves. Great product.

This is the best mod I have done to my R to date. I have a boost gauge and the IPD HD turbo control valve and when getting into the boost the needle would jump between 13.5 and 14 psi at its max before the intake kit, . now it is rock solid steady at 15psi and wow does it feel smoother, faster spool up, and more top end!! I did not use the IPD kit however I had a air duct in my garage and I cut the slots out of my fog light so my hose is slightly bigger, I also think a big upgrade was getting rid of that keyhole plastic allowing the air to flow to the whole filter.

This works well, trickier to install than one would think. As a previous poster said, getting the lower torx off of the MAF is a biaatch, I ended up disconnecting the MAF from the inlet tube, then it was do able.

Kudo's to the poster that said to use a butane torch and utility knife for the lower splash guard. A 2" hole saw worked and a bit of work with a dremmel for the filter box but the hole behind the fog light grill needs to be much bigger that 2". I actually used the dremmel for part of this as well, but mostly the hot utility knife.
