Engine Stabilizer Upper Poly Bushing Kit

Increase engine holding even further with ipd’s polyurethane upper engine stabilizer kit for V70, S60, S80, and XC90 (2003-06). Be careful when comparing our kit to competitors as many kits are offered as one piece to do one side only. Our kit includes two bushings and washers to do a complete job and upgrade both sides of the stabilizer mount. Decreases fore/aft and left/right movement in the upper engine bar, allowing more power to transfer through the transmission instead of being lost to engine rotation. Our kit installs in about 10 minutes with common hand tools. Instructions included.

Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle.
Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations.

We offer some products with multiple brand options. Products ending with an "E" suffix indicate Economy (non-OE) brands.

Something that costs $36 and takes 5 minutes to install has no right to make this big a difference.

I figured it was a good upgrade, but didn't expect to notice a difference. on my S60 on my normal drive to work around the corners where my tires normal squeal, no more noise just grip. This was much cheaper than dumping the stock Michelin tires for something better.

I installed these stabilizer end bushings a while ago and never wrote a review.

Just wanted to say that despite already having added the IPD poly bushing to my upper mount, I still don't have any noticeable vibration issues. A little more "feel" in the steering wheel, from both the engine and road, which I suppose might be bad if your motor is running rough or the road is really bumpy, but no noticeable increase in the vibration felt in my feet.

Makes me wonder if those experiencing problems are installing these products wrong. I torqued all nuts and bolts to spec and made sure to remove all of the previous bushing when required.

Anywho, another great IPD upgrade! Wish they made more of them for my S80.

Installed bushings in my late-2001 S60 (production date: early July 2001) -- slipped right into the housing. Entire process took about 5 - 7 minutes.

Handling improved significantly on our scarred and crumbling SF Bay Area roads -- better cornering, travel over bumps not as dramatic, steering feels tighter.

And, I previously installed the IPD rear engine mount (urethane), so minimal added vibration from that mount not increased by these bushings.

Very worthwhile investment to achieve better handling and road feel for minimal amount of cash.

With a little modification for my '01, this kit works great. A big improvement in cornering. I cut the top lip/lining of the bushing so it could fit together with the new washer on the '01 brackets. Just having the poly bushing and new washer (with a tad bit of over-tightening) made a noticeable difference in handling. A small amount of vibration is noticeable at idle but the results far outweigh the side-effects in my opinion. Anybody with a '01 will be able to modify the bushing with a razor blade, although once you do it, you obviously can't return it. I took a chance and am completely satisfied with the result.

I just installed these on my 1999 s80 T6. I did notice better response from the engine and less movement from the "strut bar" or upper engine support. This product almost makes me want to try the strut bar conversion mounts. This is a great economical alternative.

My only issue was with the fitment. I had to do a fair amount of machining to get the bushings to fit through the bottom of the mounts. The bushing was way bigger than the hole in the mount. Once I got the hole big enough the bushing nestled tightly into the stock bushing and fit well.

I have a 2005 S80 2.5T AWD which is best car I have ever owed I might add. I first noticed the weak link (literally) that is the upper engine mount/stabilizer as I was leaning over against the front of the car to replace a bulb. I leaned into the car and it rolled back until the transmission locked and I noticed that the engine rocked back and fourth probably 2-3 times traveling an inch in each direction as if it was
attached to a rubber band. Tonight I installed the upper engine stabilizer bushing
kit. The process took literally 15 minutes total labor in my garage. I instantly
noticed the difference when I tried to rock the car and watch the engine do its
dance. The kit significantly reduced the previous engine travel. I took it for a spin
and noticed only a slight increase in vibration which was insignificant compared to
the instant and welcome feeling of being more attached to my vehicle which is of
course the reason for being a performance enthusiast. Thanks IPD. Cant wait for
the next upgrade! Likely the upper engine mount

Just installed these two days ago and they really work! Not as much than genuine strut bar but a lot better steering now. Front is more stable now especially when travelling high speeds. I like these.
Easy to install in 5 minutes.
